Futures Recruitment are looking to appoint a Project Manager our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of major site expansion and modernisation projects, overseeing construction, equipment commissioning, and the introduction of automation and digital technologies to enhance efficiency and infrastructure capability. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial agreement through to final delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability. You'll work cross-functionally with sales, production, technical, engineering, and operations teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of projects, from initial agreement to completion, covering planning, budgeting, and resource management. Generate and manage project contracts, review scopes of work, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective and timely project execution. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all project phases. Maintain sales margins while seeking opportunities to enhance profitability throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee facility construction, layout redesign, and commissioning of new production lines, utilities, and equipment. Manage installation, testing, and handover of manufacturing systems, ensuring training and documentation are completed. Report regularly to leadership on progress, risks, milestones, and financial performance. Manage procurement, contract administration, and supplier performance. Use IT systems and project management tools to input, update, and maintain accurate project documentation. Promote collaboration and clear communication across departments to support smooth project delivery. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment. Strong background in facility expansion, equipment commissioning, and automation technologies. Excellent understanding of contract management, risk assessment, and project delivery. Proficient in the use of project management systems and IT tools for contract and schedule control. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to maintain margins and identify cost-saving opportunities. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and digital transformation.
