Following business growth, we have a Commercial Insurance Claims Team Manager opportunity in Birmingham. You will Lead a team of Claims Handlers who manage a portfolio of claims across multiple line of businesses including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation of policy liability, legal liability (where appropriate) and quantum. Key Responsibilities: Recruit, coach, mentor and lead team of claim adjusters handling claims Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met and to work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards Represent Chubb at internal and external meetings Build and maintain client relationships Provide general assistance and support to senior claims adjusters, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise Qualifications Previous Claims management experience at Team Leader/supervisor level Cross line of business experience, with Commercial Insurance experience being advantageous Competent in Microsoft Office with a sound understanding of the insurance/reinsurance market (preferred) Demonstration of practical and common sense approach to dealing with situations.
