We are recruiting for an established Tier 1 construction business on a new prison scheme near Newton Abbot. Project Description
The project is a long‑term redevelopment of an existing prison facility with both new build and refurbishment works alongside complex M&E packages, groundworks and civil engineering works.
Responsibilities
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids, compile a working scope of works and bill of quants, and work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered. You will place orders, arrange pre‑start meetings, and then manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team. The role includes standard QS tasks such as valuations, payments, re‑measures, variation account management, CVRs, and weekly/monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account, all under the supervision of a Senior QS who will support your training and development.
