We are looking for a Head of Brand Marketing to lead our Brand Team. Although our offices are based in the North of England, we are open to considering UK wide based applications.
The Head of Brand Marketing is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and deliveringVisualsoft’s brand and go-to-market strategy, with a strong focus on events, digital engagement, the Shopify ecosystem, and the growth of our Unified Retail proposition.
You will play a central role in defining and threading Visualsoft’s Unified Retail narrative across every touchpoint, ensuring our positioning, partnerships, retail innovation, and in-store commerce capabilities are consistently communicated to the market. Working closely with commercial, partnerships, retail product, and leadership teams, you will help bring together the story of connected commerce across ecommerce, POS, retail operations, and customer experience.
This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for developing impactful campaigns, managing a busy events calendar, and delivering compelling brand storytelling across all channels. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage multiple priorities, and is highly organised in delivering high-quality marketing outputs that support brand growth, market positioning, and commercial opportunity.
You will also act as the guardian of the Visualsoft brand, owning internal brand guidelines and ensuring a consistent and professional brand presence across all internal and external touchpoints. This includes oversight of branded assets such as presentations, templates, merchandise, email signatures, office branding, and supporting materials used across the business.
You will lead a small marketing team and work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Retail to drive brand awareness, pipeline growth, and customer engagement. A key part of the role will be aligning and amplifying Visualsoft’s Unified Retail go-to-market strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and impactful campaigns across ecommerce, retail, Shopify, and partner-led initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
1. Develop and deliver a practical, commercially aligned brand marketing strategy
2. Position Visualsoft as a leading Shopify and eCommerce partner in the UK market
3. Translate business priorities into clear marketing plans, campaigns, and event activity
4. Use data, market insight, and industry trends to inform brand positioning and messaging
5. Collaborate with senior leadership to define marketing priorities and KPIs
6. Act as the guardian of Visualsoft’s brand, owning internal brand guidelines and ensuring a consistent, professional brand presence across all internal and external touchpoints, including oversight of branded assets such as presentations, templates, merchandise, email signatures, office branding, and wider supporting materials used across the business.
Events and Brand Experience
7. Own and deliver Visualsoft’s end-to-end events strategy, including Sync—the largest retail event outside of London—as well as a broader programme of industry conferences, client and partner-led events.
8. Manage a high volume events calendar, ensuring strong organisation, planning discipline, and execution excellence
9. Oversee end-to-end event delivery including logistics, suppliers, budgets, and onsite coordination
10. Ensure events generate commercial value through lead generation, partnerships, and client engagement
11. Work closely with Sales and Partnerships teams to maximise ROI and post-event follow-up
12. Continuously evaluate event performance and improve future delivery
Digital Marketing & Campaign Delivery
13. Support and oversee digital marketing activity across PPC, SEO, email, social media, and content marketing
14. Ensure alignment between digital campaigns and event activity to maximise impact
15. Work within the Shopify and wider eCommerce ecosystem to strengthen brand visibility and partnerships
16. Deliver integrated campaigns that drive both awareness and lead generation
17. Oversee content creation including case studies, blogs, webinars, and thought leadership assets
Budget Management
18. Manage the brand marketing and events budget with strong attention to detail and accountability
19. Ensure efficient allocation of spend across campaigns, events, and content production
20. Track ROI and report on performance against agreed objectives
21. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise return on investment
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
22. Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Partnerships and Client Services
23. Manage external agencies, suppliers, venues, and event partners
24. Build strong relationships within the Shopify and broader eCommerce ecosystem
25. Represent Visualsoft at industry events and external engagements
Team Leadership & Line Management Responsibilities
26. Lead and support a multidisciplinary marketing team
27. Foster a collaborative, organised, and high-performing team culture
28. Ensure clear prioritisation across multiple campaigns, events, and digital activities
29. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance support to team members
30. Support recruitment and onboarding within agreed budget parameters
31. Ensure consistent use of processes, tools, and brand standards across all outputs
32. Supporting performance & development – Holding regular 1-1s and formal reviews (probation, performance, and development), setting and aligning goals with business objectives, and ensuring everything is recorded in our HRIS, HiBob.
33. Coaching & feedback – Providing constructive feedback, recognition, and guidance to encourage growth, high performance, and continuous improvement.
34. Wellbeing & engagement – Actively managing team wellbeing, motivation, and engagement, while addressing any performance issues fairly and consistently in line with company policy.

Requirements
Essential
36. Experience in a marketing leadership role (Head of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager, or equivalent)
37. Strong background in events marketing and/or experiential marketing
38. Experience in eCommerce, SaaS or agency environments
39. Exposure to B2B marketing in a digital or tech-led business
40. Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and events simultaneously
41. Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (PPC, SEO, email, social, content)
42. Experience managing budgets and reporting on performance
43. Experience leading or mentoring a team
44. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

45. Experience within Shopify ecosystem
46. Experience delivering large-scale industry events, webinars, or conferences
