Hours: On average, hours per week: 5 set days, including 1 weekend day 07:00am - 17:00pm.

Role Overview
The Environmental Enforcement Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining public health, safety, and environmental standards by enforcing environmental laws and regulations. Responsibilities include investigating environmental violations, issuing warnings, fines or citations, and educating the public about environmental responsibilities. The officer will work closely with local authorities, businesses and residents to promote compliance and help reduce environmental crimes such as littering, fly‑tipping and pollution.
Key Responsibilities
* Enforce environmental regulations and local by‑laws regarding littering, fly‑tipping, graffiti, waste management, noise pollution and other environmental concerns.
* Patrol assigned areas to detect violations and ensure compliance with environmental laws.
* Investigate reports of environmental offences from the public and respond promptly to complaints.
* Issue fixed penalty notices (FPNs) and citations to individuals or businesses for non‑compliance with environmental laws.
* Prepare and serve legal documents, including warning notices and fines, in accordance with local laws.
* Conduct follow‑up visits to ensure compliance with issued notices and take further action if necessary.
* Investigate environmental offences such as illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, unlawful waste disposal by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and preparing case files.
* Use surveillance equipment, including cameras, to monitor and collect evidence of environmental crimes.
* Report findings to senior management and collaborate with legal teams to pursue prosecutions when necessary.
* Prepare case files for prosecution, including collecting evidence, photographs and witness statements.
* Attend court proceedings and present evidence as required to support legal action against environmental offenders.
* Communicate information clearly and concisely to ensure understanding.
* Adapt to change and work effectively in various situations and weather conditions.
* Participate in training courses to gain knowledge of duties, legislation, communication and interaction, earning a recognised qualification in environmental awareness.
Employment Arrangement & Pay Details
Pay will be paid weekly on a Friday through HIVE 360 Payroll Services. The role is offered through an agency arrangement; the employee will not be directly employed by Kingdom Service Group and will receive a contract of employment separately.
