At Close Brothers we look to recruit individuals from all different backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box. We celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity. Vacancies are available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis because we know the best person for the job isn’t always available full-time. Our aim is to facilitate requests wherever possible and managers will consider requests on an individual basis.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and logical professional to deliver high-quality, internal audit services across our Irish businesses. In this role, you’ll provide objective assurance to the Audit Committee, Board, and senior management whilst helping to strengthen internal controls, risk management, and governance.
If you have experience delivering audit plans to best practice standards and a passion for driving value through insight, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

 * Produce high-quality, insightful audit reports on the effectiveness of internal controls
 * Steer the annual audit planning process, focusing on current and emerging risks

 * Act as the key contact for senior Irish stakeholders, including ExCo and Process Classification Framework holders
 * Monitor changes to the risk profile and contribute to identifying emerging risks
 * Demonstrate strong direction and oversight across audit activities
 * Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory need
 * Ensure governance and compliance standards are met, with accurate reporting to regulatory bodies
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
 * A strong background in internal audit, within banking or financial services
 * Proven comprehension of risk and control principles
 * Knowledge of credit risk and banking regulations relevant to Irish operations
 * High levels of motivation and the ability to work under pressure
 * Strong relationship-building skills with auditees and stakeholders
 * Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
 * Knowledge of business processes and controls within the financial services industry
 * Technical product and regulatory knowledge relevant to the Irish portfolio
