Barnet Council is seeking a dedicated Team Leader (Health & Safety) to oversee health and safety enforcement across the borough. The role requires previous local authority enforcement experience, with qualifications such as an Environmental Health degree or an IOSH qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
The successful candidate will lead a small team, undertake enforcement actions, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include delivering enforcement functions, taking enforcement action, and supervising staff.
Applicants should demonstrate effective communication, investigative skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Supervisory experience is also essential.
