Summary
You will report to the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer and work both onsite at our Heybridge site in addition to regular offsite visits at client premises across the UK. You may be required to work at other locations as directed by your manager or the needs of the business. You will be required to train, mentor and support colleagues on a day-to-day basis and as directed by your manager.
Duties
Your duties will include the following:
* Design and implementation of technical training programs, covering hardware and software for in-house designed and manufactured commercial cutting machines.
* Provide on-the-job training assisting existing Engineers.
* Recruitment, supervision and assessment of new trainees and their progress through training.
* Reviewing the Technical Support process and contributing to improvements.
* Comply with all Company policies, procedures and training requirements.
* Comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures and working practices.
* Undertake additional tasks and duties as deemed necessary by your manager or by the needs of the business.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Engineering background with 10 years previous experience of technical support.
* Organised and self-motivated. This is a new role and requires someone who understands what needs to be done, rather than be instructed.
* Good communication skills as the role will involve liaising with new recruits, long-standing employees and possibly customers.
Desirable:
* Degree background or equivalent experience.
* Experience of delivering training programmes.
* Supervision/management experience.
Training, Qualifications and Certifications
You will either have or be willing to study towards the following:
* Any training/qualifications/certifications required by law, best practice or customers.
* Any other training identified by your manager which supports or adds value to your role.
