Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a busy Supply Chain team based in Taunton. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving supplier performance, validating new suppliers and supporting purchasing activities. This role requires strong supplier management capability, process improvement experience and a proactive approach to driving Supply Chain excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct on-site supplier audits
2. Validate and approve new suppliers
3. Process purchase orders through the ERP system
4. Manage, process and close supplier non‑compliances
5. Identify and assess potential new suppliers
6. Expedite supplier deliveries to meet business requirements
7. Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to achieve cost‑effective outcomes
Skills & Qualifications
8. HNC or equivalent in a technical discipline
9. Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on ERP experience, with strong understanding of Warehouse/Materials Management & Planning
10. Experience using supplier scorecards and vendor management techniques
11. Minimum 3 years’ continuous improvement experience
12. Strong computer literacy
13. Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (desirable)
14. Internal Auditor certification (desirable)
15. Experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)
16. Full UK driving licence (essential)

20. Or similar roles within Purchasing or Supply Chain functions
