Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate electronics engineer to join our team in Cumbernauld!
The role will be responsible for developing innovative electronics design solutions for Emerson’s diverse range of products. It also includes sustaining activities on existing products and supporting regulatory testing and approvals of new products. The engineer will provide support and mentorship to junior engineers to improve technical capacity in the team.

Responsibilities:
* Provide innovative and robust electronic design solutions to meet product requirements.
* Liaise with approval bodies and provide strong technical justifications for product compliance.
* Mentor and guide team members.
* Coordinate with contract manufacturers and internal teams to transfer electronic designs to manufacturing.
* Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and bills of materials.
* Develop manufacturing test documentation and protocols.
* Design and perform verification tests, including EMC testing and diagnostics.
* Build factory acceptance tests for PCB assemblies.
* Support manufacturing to ensure PCB assemblies meet acceptance criteria.
Candidate Profile:
You are adaptable, embrace challenges, and communicate effectively. You quickly adapt to new technologies and anticipate their impacts.
Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related field, with electronics design experience.
* Understanding of analogue, digital, and mixed circuits, with experience in simulation and PCB design tools.
* Practical experience in debugging and board bring-up.
* Experience in signal integrity and EMC design.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Mentoring and delegating to team members.
* Experience in matrix organizations.
