We are looking for Mechanical Technician/Relief Valve Technician to supervise and/or perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, installation, and commissioning of relief valves at UK&I operational facilities, third-party facilities, joint ventures, and subsidiaries.
What will you do?
1. Support troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and installation of relief valves; support the mechanical team as needed.
2. Be familiar with relief valves and pressure systems, including P&ID documentation, CREDO, thermal and pilot relief valves; competent with SAP transactions and able to write reports/EMRs.
3. Understand centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, expanders, pumps, involving various fluids.
4. Assist UK&I Maintenance Planner with shutdown planning, ensuring proper resources and safety measures.
5. Prepare written reports post-activities, including technical details, drawings, spare parts, scope, resources, durations, recommendations, and future work.
How will you do it?
1. Mentor other UK&I relief valve technicians to maintain their authorization and compliance.
2. Ensure preventive maintenance and repair work are carried out effectively within budget.
3. Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns, analyze faults, and repair to minimize production loss.
4. Adhere to BSP safety philosophy and report incidents.
5. Supervise maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors to ensure effectiveness.
6. Manage Change requirements for activities and document modifications.
7. Follow policies for world-class performance and suggest improvements.
8. Review and update technical content of maintenance procedures.
9. Advise Plant Managers on maintenance issues, utilizing SAP/CREDO and technical resources.
10. Establish effective relationships with departments and participate in equipment testing and commissioning.
11. Collect data for new projects, allocate tasks, and update SAP.
12. Follow up on reports and be available for out-of-hours breakdown responses.
13. Meet or exceed individual goals.
What are we looking for?
1. Completion of a Formal Mechanical Apprenticeship.
2. Significant experience with process pressure systems, equipment, and testing/overhaul of relief valves.
3. Understanding of materials, construction, lifting, schematics, OEM manuals.
4. Experience with large reciprocating and rotating machinery involving various fluids is advantageous.
