You will be joining an organisation dedicated to safeguarding and improving oues for children, working closely with partner agencies, including health, education and the police, to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time.
The role sits within the Contact, Advice and Support Service (CASS) / Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), the Trust’s front‑door service, where timely information sharing and accurate decision-making are critical to protecting children.
Your new role
As a Business Support Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to frontline social work staff within the CASS/MASH service. You will play a key role in processing referrals, managing information, and ensuring safeguarding concerns are progressed efficiently and accurately from first contact.Key responsibilities will include:
1. Monitoring multiple email inboxes and ensuring actions arepleted promptly
2. Processing and quality‑checking referral information
3. Inputting and maintaining accurate data on Eclipse, including creation of PER and GRP IDs
4. Allocating referrals to social workers and teams to support case progression
5. Sharing information from the CASS inbox with allocated teams via Eclipse
6. Extracting and sharing information from systems.
7. Providing oue emails for all referrals received into CASS
8. Arranging strategy meetings, monitoring actions and timelines
9. Distributing meeting documentation and case information to partner agencies including police, health and education
10. Managing daily allocated tasks on a rota basis and identifying priority and urgent safeguarding work
11. Providing office‑based business support to practice teams as required
Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 5:45pm
Friday: 8:45am – 4:45pm
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
12. Previous experience in a business support, administrative or clerical role, ideally within children’s services, social care or a public sector environment
13. Confidence in using case management or information systems.
14. Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
15. Ability to manage multiple tasks andpeting priorities in a fast‑paced, safeguarding environment
16. Strongmunication skills and a professional approach to working with internal teams and partner agencies
17. Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding principles
18. Experience supporting frontline social work teams or multi-agency services would be highly beneficial.
