An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor (5+ PQE) to step into a Head of Department role with a highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked law firm.
The firm is well-established with offices in both London and Brighton and has a strong reputation for high-quality, client-focused legal services across multiple practice areas. This position offers a genuine platform for someone looking to lead, shape, and grow a Private Client department within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The Role:
As Head of Private Client, you will:
* Lead and develop a small but established team across the London and Brighton offices.
* Manage a varied caseload including wills, LPAs, complex estate planning, probate, and Court of Protection matters.
* Mentor and support team members (currently a senior solicitor, probate executive, and juniors).
* Play a key role in growing the department – with scope to bring in an assistant or paralegal if required.
* Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

About You:
* 5+ years’ PQE in Private Client law.

* Strong client care and communication skills.
