Salary: £50,000 FTE (Part time salary £30,000)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Reports to: Chief Executive

About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity to join the DENS Senior Leadership Team as HR subject matter expert, leading the transition of HR and Culture at DENS. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a People and Culture Strategy that supports organisational aims, responds to increasing HR demands and ensures that DENS is able to attract and retain a diverse workforce of talented staff and volunteers. You will proactively plan for, comply with and respond to the evolving expectations of external stakeholders, including future employees, funders and commissioners, and changes to employment law.
About you
* A CIPD qualification or significant relevant HR Management experience, with excellent and up to date understanding of employment law and application of HR emerging best practice
* Experience of developing a People and Culture Strategy that supports organisational aims, and responds to increasing internal and external HR demands
* Experience of leading a small HR team. Experience of working in a charity is desirable
* Able to effectively support, advise and coach senior leaders (peers) and managers to build commitment and delivery of the changes in ways of working needed
* A high degree of integrity and confidentiality in interpersonal interactions, adapting communications style to meet the needs of different people across the organisation
* Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and experience in using systems to streamline processes and inform change and improvements to HR service delivery
