I’m delighted to be partnering with a well‑established and highly respected building services organisation specialising in high‑quality air handling solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Estimator to join their commercial team and take ownership of cost planning across their core product range.

The Role
As Estimator, you’ll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of HVAC products. Working closely with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams, you’ll ensure each proposal is commercially robust and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing detailed cost estimates from technical drawings and project specifications
Collaborating with engineers and key stakeholders to confirm scope and technical requirements
Reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotations
Preparing clear cost breakdowns for materials, labour, and relevant overheads
Supporting contract reviews, project handovers, and change‑order negotiations
Maintaining accurate bid, estimate, and proposal documentation
Ensuring all outputs meet industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practiceAbout You
We’re looking for someone who can bring a mix of technical understanding, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in estimating within HVAC, mechanical services, or building services
Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex technical information
Confident use of Excel and project management tools; estimating software experience is advantageous
The ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously within tight deadlines
Engineering or construction‑related qualifications (preferred but not essential with solid experience)This is a company with an excellent reputation in the HVAC sector—known for delivering quality products and investing heavily in the development of their people.
