Hours: 8:00–16:00, Monday to Friday
A primary school in the Bradford/Bingley area is seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to provide essential site support during a period of long‑term sickness cover. This role is to start immediately and will run for at least 6 weeks, with the strong possibility of extending up to 4 months depending on the needs of the school.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well‑maintained. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong practical skills and a proactive approach to keeping a school running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Opening the school each day alongside another member of staff
2. Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
3. Ensuringpliance checks arepleted and recorded
4. Supporting the smooth running of the school site as needed
Requirements
5. Relevant experience as a caretaker, site supervisor, or maintenance professional
6. Experience within a school setting is desirable but not essential.
7. Strong practical skills and a good understanding of health & safety
8. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, if you do not have one, you must be willing to apply
