The production supervisor effectively leads operations and manufacturing processes, through supervision of team members to ensure the efficient delivery of products, whilst meeting appropriate industry standards. Responsibilities: Responsible for the quality of all production outputs ensuring appropriate quality standard are maintained and improved as appropriate. Organise workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules in conjunction or independently of the Production Manager Ensure that all staff in your team are trained in and adhere to relevant SOPs and EHS guidelines. Responsible for ensuring that all materials, including consumables are in place ahead of manufacturing requirements. Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees. Work in conjunction with the quality department to highlight and determine root causes with corrective action to issues that arise. Responsible for Batch Record Reviews, thus ensuring Quality Right First Time. Responsible for the appropriate recording, reporting and communicating of daily, weekly, monthly metrics and key performance indicators. Responsible for the appropriate training of all production staff, thus maintaining required staffing to meet the production demand. Report deficiencies to the Production Manager Highlight improvement ideas to improve processes and working conditions. Working in conjunction with the Production Manager establish improvement idea’s that can be both managed through production staff of with assistance from Technical Support. When required, work as an operator to help achieve departmental schedules and goals. Perform any ad hoc requests from the production manager to help the production department achieve its goals, e.g., project work, liaise with other departments, lead process improvement initiatives, create roster’s. Ensure the safe use of equipment and enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards. Report appropriately any safety issue through required documentation, work with the Health & Safety co-ordinator to maintain and improve Health & Safety in the Production environment. Create and complete appropriate annual Performance Reviews for all direct reports. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. Comply with all policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements of Biocomposites. Required Experience: Level 4 in Management or equivalent. Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience within Production Supervisor job role or equivalent. IT skills inclusive of Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice. People management skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to take initiative within controlled working environment. Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail and well organised.
