Junior Commercial Property Solicitor (NQ - 2 PQE)
Location: Cardiff (hybrid working available) • Salary: Competitive - dependent on experience
A specialist property law firm in Cardiff is looking to recruit a Junior Commercial Property Solicitor. Candidates of interest will be those who are either Newly Qualified or about to qualify, or anyone with up to 2 years’ PQE (although the firm may be prepared to consider candidates with more PQE subject to them having particularly desirable experience). This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor seeking high‑quality work, hands‑on responsibility, and a supportive team environment with real scope for development.
The Role
You will work on a broad range of commercial property matters, acting for a diverse client base. The role offers exposure to complex and interesting transactions, with appropriate supervision and mentoring. Your work will include:
* Acquisitions and disposals of all property types
* Commercial leases
* Business asset purchases and sales
* Joint venture agreements
* Site acquisition and development advice
* Landlord and tenant advice
* Leasehold enfranchisement
* Option agreements
* Overage and clawback agreements
* Portfolio management
* Property finance
* Residential property investment
About You
* Newly Qualified – up to 2 years’ PQE with commercial property experience (higher PQE candidates may also apply)
* Strong attention to detail with a commercial and pragmatic approach
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Able to work confidently as part of a close‑knit team
