Our client is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join their expanding team across multiple UK locations, including Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, and Nottingham. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of VAT advisory and compliance projects for clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage VAT compliance and advisory projects, including M&A transactions, real estate deals, and international supply chain issues.
* Provide expert advice on VAT recovery strategies, partial exemption methodologies, and product liability assessments.
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify VAT risks and opportunities, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
* Support the development and training of junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
* Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and optimise client outcomes.
The experience you will bring:
* Minimum of three years' experience in an indirect tax role, preferably in professional practice, industry, or with HMRC.
* Professional qualifications such as CTA and/or ACA are preferred but not essential.
* Proven experience in managing complex VAT issues related to M&A, real estate, and international transactions.
* Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
