Newstaff Employment is hiring experienced HGV1 Drivers in Luton to transport commercial goods safely and efficiently while supporting reliable logistics operations.

Salary: £18.00 – £19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
1. Operate HGV1 vehicles to transport goods safely and on time
2. Complete pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
3. Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, and compliance records
4. Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers
5. Follow all road transport laws and company procedures
6. Manage delivery schedules efficiently
7. Assist with loading and unloading goods when required
8. Keep vehicles clean and report defects promptly
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
10. Valid CPC qualification card
11. Digital tachograph card
12. Proven experience as an HGV1 Driver, ideally in a commercial environment
13. Strong knowledge of transport regulations and road safety standards
14. Excellent driving record with a safety-first attitude
15. Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
16. Strong communication and customer service skills
17. Flexible approach to various shift patterns
