Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. This is a dynamic and practical role where you will be both supervising and actively involved in cleaning operations. As the Cleaning Supervisor, you will ensure that cleaning standards are consistently met, lead by example, and ensure your team is well-trained, motivated, and delivering quality service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hands-On Cleaning: Actively participate in day-to-day cleaning tasks, setting the standard for quality and efficiency.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of cleaning staff, providing guidance and direction throughout each shift.
* Training & Development: Deliver on-the-job training to your team, ensuring they understand cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and client expectations.
* Quality Control: Regularly inspect work completed by your team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are achieved. Take corrective action when necessary.
* Health & Safety: Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, particularly in handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment.
* Escalating Issues: Identify and escalate any concerns or complaints to the management team promptly to ensure swift resolution.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or facilities management environment is a must.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with a practical approach to training and motivating staff.
* In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, quality standards, and health & safety practices.
* Ability to lead by example, with a hands-on approach to cleaning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleaning standards..
Qualifications:
* A relevant cleaning or facilities management qualification (e.g., COSHH, Health and Safety) would be beneficial.
* Experience in staff training, quality control, and hands-on cleaning is required.
