This is a clinical and operational role with the main responsibility of leading the CT service on a daily basis at the CDC hub site at St. Margaret's Hospital.
The next phase of our CDC agenda will go live in January 2026 and we will install 2 new CT scanners into our brand new CDC building to provide community care to our local population.
The post holder is expected to lead the CT department at the CDC hub site of St. Margaret's Hospital and assist the CT Modality Lead, CT Practice Educator, and CT Clinical Specialist in driving forward positive change. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a seamless CT service is provided on a day-to-day basis at the CDC hub site of PAHT. They will be the first point of contact for any patient escalations, equipment breakdowns and daily CT staffing issues at SMH. They will be expected to work alongside the CT senior team in relation to all aspects of training and proactively suggest service improvements for the benefit of staff and patients. They will be expected to develop and maintain the CT service alongside the CT senior team by standardising protocols, managing the patient bookings and waiting lists, and to facilitate the rotation of radiographers throughout all areas.
Ultimately, they will need to work as an effective operational lead radiographer for the CT service as required.
