Overview

Mantell Associates is partnered with a global, full-service CRDMO delivering integrated research, development, and manufacturing services. They are seeking an experienced and strategically driven Senior Director of Business Development to lead commercial growth initiatives and forge high-impact industry partnerships.


Senior Director of Business Development - Responsibilities:

* Define and drive commercial strategy to expand CRDMO services across biopharma, biotech, and cell & gene therapy markets
* Lead the full sales cycle for complex, integrated service offerings - from client acquisition and proposal development to negotiation, contract finalization, and pipeline execution
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Scientific, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Finance) to ensure compelling, compliant, and timely solutions tailored to client needs
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and industry decision-makers at C-level and technical leadership levels
* Monitor emerging trends, competitive positioning, and client needs to guide service innovation and market differentiation
* Represent the CRDMO at strategic industry conferences, partnering forums, and client advisory committees


Senior Director of Business Development - Requirements:

* 10+ years of business development or commercial leadership experience within CRDMO or CDMO/service-based biopharma sectors
* Demonstrated track record of securing and expanding multimillion-dollar service contracts across integrated offerings (e.g., from discovery through commercialization)
* Deep understanding of the R&D and manufacturing needs of pharma/biotech clients, particularly in cell therapy, gene therapy, biologics, or small molecule domains
* Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and leadership presence to manage highly complex, long-term client engagements
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
* Willingness to travel internationally and operate with a global mindset
