Communications Assistant

Reports to: Corporate Communications Manager & Senior Creative Responsibility Manager

About the Corporate Communications team:

The Corporate Communications team is integral in telling the brand story of Fremantle to our audiences, both internal and external. The team devises and implements compelling business narrative in business and trade press and also oversees a complimentary and creative internal communications agenda, which in forms all our colleagues across our 30 international offices.

The team also oversees Fremantle's Creative Responsibility programme which gives people the chance to make life choices based on their aspirations, not their circumstances and focuses on helping diverse talent to succeed so innovative ideas can flourish and untold stories can come to life.

The role:

The Communications Assistant proactively supports the Corporate Communications team as they undertake external, internal and social communications and Creative Responsibility initiatives across the global Fremantle network of territories.

This is a great, broad, entry-level role for someone with the right attitude who is looking to make a career in communications. The right candidate will be proactive, creative and organised and ideally will have already worked in a busy press office or agency environment, organising and assisting a team. Working hours will be 09:30 – 18:00, Monday – Friday. Some flexibility is required during exceptionally busy periods and therefore evening and weekend working may be required at times.

Job summary:

* · Assisting the Corporate Communications team with duties supporting on internal communications, sharing successes, stories and information with our global colleagues. Writing timely copy, sourcing videos and images, liaising with teams across the world and planning documents

* · Assisting the Corporate Communications team with duties to support on external communications including planning documents, media lists, editorial and speaking opportunity calendars, collating press coverage, presentations, images, research and shared drive management

* · Creating compelling and timely content for our global social media platforms and monitoring for trends, influencers, best practice and competitor activity

* · Assisting the Senior Creative Responsibility Manager with on-going projects, including outreach programmes, industry research and reporting.

* · Writing first drafts on materials including press releases, blogs, award entries and internal news stories

* · General administrative support to the Corporate Communications team – including, but not limited to, scheduling of meetings,co-ordinating travel arrangements, raising POs, processing expenses, logging invoices and booking couriers/taxis as required.

Relevant skills:

* · Confident and motivated individual with a collaborative, professional and positive attitude

* · Excellent writing skills on and offline, with a digitally-curious and savvy mind

* · Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task while working to a high standard and to deadlines

* · A continued desire to increase effectiveness,learning and best practice

* · Strong IT skills – MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint etc.), Keynote, Adobe Photoshop or

* · other photo editing skills, content management systems

* · Ability to form relationships with colleagues at all levels

* · Organised with high attention to detail

* · Able to pre-empt / prepare for various outcomes

* · Passionate about the TV industry

* · Interest in and passion for responsible business practices
