We're looking for a motivated Graduate/ Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on social housing construction projects. If you're passionate about building communities and want to kick-start your career in a role that makes a real difference, this could be the perfect fit.

We operate within the social housing sector, providing holistic housing services to local authorities and housing associations throughout the Northwest, North Wales, and West Yorkshire.

What You Will Be Responsible For

1. Learn and understand systems & processes allowing effective measurement of commercial performance whilst complying with Connolly Ltd guidelines.
2. Learn and understand the preparation & agreement of target costs for individual projects, including obtaining specialist supply chain quotations.
3. Understand the provision of accurate, real-time monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) which detail project commercial performance against agreed target costs.
4. Aspire to the highest possible standards of subcontract procurement and cost control.
5. Learn and understand effective and timely support for dispute resolution.
6. Learn and understand project valuations and subcontract payments.
7. Learn and understand project-specific regulations, prescribed recommendations, contract documentation, and standards.
8. Understand programme and the reporting process of commercial performance.

What We'd Like From You

1. A basic understanding of legislative and quality standards.
2. Relevant GCSEs and A Levels.
3. Degree in Quantity Surveying (if a graduate).
4. Excellent communication and people skills.
5. IT skills and proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
6. Driving licence.
