We’re working with a supportive alternative provision in Newcastle seeking a confident English Tutor or HLTA to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English to small groups of students.
About the Role:
* Delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English in small-group or 1:1 sessions
* Supporting learners with SEMH or additional needs
* Planning and adapting sessions to suit individual levels
* Working closely with the teaching team to track progress
* Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm Mon–Thurs | 8:30am – 3:00pm Fri
* Start: ASAP - Ongoing
What You’ll Need:
* Experience delivering GCSE or Functional Skills English
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* HLTA qualification, relevant tutoring background, or FE experience
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
* QTS isn’t required; this role suits an experienced HLTA, unqualified teacher, or FE/GCSE English tutor with a strong literacy support background.
