The Enhanced Practice Reporting Sonographer role works across Eastern Services in Medical Imaging. The position covers multiple sites, including Wonford, the CDC and community locations, providing diagnostic ultrasound services to a broad range of specialties. Key Responsibilities
* Provide in‑patient and out‑patient ultrasound services across two main sites – Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) and the Community Diagnostic Hub (CDC).
* Perform general abdominal, gynaecological, obstetric (including 20‑week anomaly scans and national screening scans), paediatric and head & neck ultrasound examinations.
* Maintain professional relationships with staff in wards and departments, offering expert ultrasound opinion as required.
* Teach and train a wide range of staff, including ultrasound trainees, radiology registrars and clinical colleagues throughout the Trust.
* Participate in continuous professional development, peer review and CPD, maintaining high clinical and imaging standards.
* Cover weekend service on a rotating basis at Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Working Pattern
Variable hours across 7 days a week between 08:00 and 20:00. Permanent, full‑time contract with band 7 salary of £49,387 to £56,515 pro rata per year.

Person Specification
* Essential: CASE accreditation or equivalent, registration with the relevant body, successful completion of preceptorship.
* Desirable: Experience in emergency ultrasound services and multidisciplinary teaching.
