We are recruiting an Estimator to join a growing, forward‑thinking main contractor with a strong presence in the public sector, alongside an expanding private sector portfolio. 1. You will play a key role in securing work across public and private sector projects, working closely with pre‑construction,mercial and operational teams
2. The position will involve a strong focus on 2‑stage tendering, early contractor engagement andpetitive single‑stage bids
Key responsibilities include:
3. Preparing detailed cost plans and estimates for public and private sector projects
4. Leading and supporting 2‑stage tender processes
5. Pricing private sector tenders, includingpetitive single‑stage bids
6. Interpreting drawings, specifications and employer’s requirements
7. Producing take‑offs and pricing from first principles
8. Engaging with supply chain partners to buildpetitive andpliant bids
9. Supporting bid strategy, value engineering and buildability inputs
10. Identifyingmercial risk and opportunity within tenders
11. Contributing to successful handover from pre‑construction to delivery
About YouYou will be an experienced Estimator who isfortable working across both public and private sector procurement, enjoys collaboration, and is motivated by being part of a business on an upward trajectory.You will ideally have:
12. Proven experience as an Estimator for a main contractor
13. Public sector framework experience (education, healthcare, local authority or similar)
14. Strong experience of 2‑stage tendering
15. Private sector tendering experience, includingpetitive bid environments
16. Ability to price from first principles
17. Excellentmunication and stakeholder management skills
18. A proactive,mercially minded approach
19. Ambition to grow with a business and help increase its market presence and reputation
