Providing the day-to-day trauma-informed support to meet the young person's needs, promoting their safety and well-being, and protecting them from harm.
Promoting healthy lifestyle choices through structure and routine expected within a family home.
Preparing meals and supporting nutritional needs.
Promoting good relationships with staff, professionals, and the wider community.
Facilitating engagement with support services and health appointments.
Transporting children and young people as necessary in your own vehicle.
Listening to and acting upon the young person's views about their care, support, and accommodation, and validating their voice.
Supporting move-on plans and assisting with smooth transitions.
Ensuring effective communication within the team and with all multi-agency partners.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
* Full UK driver’s license and access to your own car.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and sleep-ins if required.
* Relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is desirable but not essential.
* Clear enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
