Position Overview
The Managing Director leads our Investment Tax Services business with overall responsibility for commercial growth, client engagement, and market leadership. Combining deep subject expertise with a strategic mindset, you drive the expansion of our client base, elevate our market profile, and enhance our service proposition to accelerate revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Drive Commercial Growth
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of — and genuine fascination with — the tax requirements of private market participants.
* Drive KPIs by delivering sustained ARR through client acquisition, retention, and expansion as well as maintaining and improving the Client Net Promoter Score across all key accounts.
* Anticipate regulatory and market trends, identifying new commercial opportunities and shaping our strategic response.
* Develop a clear segmentation of our target markets and buyer personas to sharpen our go-to-market approach.
* Expand our client base through proactive business development, leveraging relationships, networks, and thought leadership.
* Strengthen existing client relationships by understanding their evolving needs and positioning Sonata One as a trusted, value‑adding partner.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance Sonata One’s visibility and authority in the Investment Tax Services market through publications, speaking engagements, and digital presence.
Shape Market Strategy and Innovation
* Translate market insights and client feedback into new service offerings and commercial initiatives.
* Lead the evolution of our value proposition, ensuring our products and services remain relevant, differentiated, and scalable.
* Work cross‑functionally to align pricing, positioning, and product development with our strategic growth objectives.
* Partner with our COO to ensure service models support our commercial ambitions and client experience goals.
Lead and Inspire
* Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing team of tax professionals committed to excellence and innovation.
* Foster a culture of commercial curiosity, collaboration, and client centricity.
* Represent the business at senior client and industry forums, commanding credibility with top‑tier clients, investors, and intermediaries.
Qualifications
You will offer a proven track record of leading and developing commercial teams in the private funds market, with a strong grasp of the tax and regulatory landscape that affects private capital.
