HLTA - Special Educational Needs Environment £115 - £140 Per Day Huddersfield About The Role We are seeking senior support staff members to join us in an HLTA capacity to support a growing need for staff to support teaching and learning and be a familiar face covering sessions on a short term basis. This is a full time role based in 1 or more schools locally. The role will involve leading sessions with groups of learners, covering teacher PPA or training, taking responsibility for running these sessions including directing and supporting other teaching assistants or support staff members. Requirements To be considered for the role of HLTA within a Special Educational Needs Environment you will: Have knowledge and ideally experience of supporting neurodivergent / SEND learners Have worked as a Teaching Assistant previously and have demonstrable experience of leading and delivering sessions to groups of learners Knowledge of the National Curriculum Be prepared to assist teaching staff with session planning and resourcing sessions A confident, positive and proactive demeanour The confidence and experience to support, lead and direct other staff members Have a positive approach to your own personal and professional development Have Team Teach training or be willing to attend the FREE course held by Vision for Education Availability to work 8.30-4.30pm daily (hours may vary slightly by setting) Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications and hours of each assignment. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Previous experience in Cover Supervision, Senior Teaching Assistant, Tutoring role or similar, ideally with SEND learners.
