Job title: Senior Software Test Engineer
Location: Cowes – Isle of Wight – Onsite only
Salary: Up to £60,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* Participate in the production of automated and manual tests to ensure that the software functionality and behaviour meet the requirements
* Engage in the testing of the software builds from unit testing to system integration testing on radar hardware (including digits)
* Analyze data to determine that the system requirements have been met
* Assist in creating Software Functional Proving Builds using code and data components under configuration control
* Support software Verification & Validation activities for all identified functional builds
* Use models to verify expected behaviour
* Generate Software Test Reports (STRs) and Software Test Plans (STPs)
* Maintain the production and upkeep of the VCRI to verify that the software satisfies the requirements
Your skills and experiences:
* Hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Numerate subjects, or be an experienced Practitioner in Software/Hardware testing
* Experience with all aspects of the software lifecycle and knowledge of models like Waterfall, Agile
* Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language
* Understanding of configuration management and experience with a configuration management tool
* Experience with high-level design methodologies such as UML

The Sampson Radar Software team:
The team comprises 30 personnel supporting and upgrading Royal Navy products. This role involves delivering software products over the next 10 years, supporting existing products, and developing your skills with potential for advancement within a global business.
