About Our Client
My client is a large automotive retailer based in Burntwood looking for a full time Assistant Buyer in the indirect team.
Job Description
* Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs.
* Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans.
* Assist in negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and procedures.
* Help manage supplier relationships and build effective partnerships.
* Participate in the continuous improvement of procurement processes.
The Successful Applicant
* Experience as an Assistant Buyer is desirable.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Good understanding of supply chain processes.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Can commute to Burntwood.
