Managing Consultant – Children’s Services and Education (CS&E)

As a Managing Consultant you will lead and assure complex consulting programmes across local authority Children’s Services, SEND and Education. You will combine delivery leadership, client relationship management, people development, and commercial stewardship – driving impact and value for clients while growing our CS&E practice.


Responsibilities

* Lead large projects or multi‑workstream programmes that improve outcomes.
* Quality assure delivery, establish governance and unblock issues.
* Steer and oversee analysis and insights.
* Build trusted, influential advisor relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Lead high‑impact C‑suite engagement and executive presentations.
* Line‑manage, mentor and coach colleagues.
* Create high‑performing teams and roll out values and leadership principles.
* Develop existing CS&E propositions and pioneer new approaches.
* Contribute to thought leadership and market presence.
* Manage partnerships and engagements commercially, identifying opportunities to drive greater value.
* Utilise network in Children’s Services to cultivate new opportunities.
* Lead proposals and ensure strong commercial governance.


Qualifications

* Significant experience in Children’s Services, SEND and/or Education.
* Strong consulting toolkit: problem‑solving, programme management, communication.
* Credibility with senior stakeholders.
* Evidence of partnership growth and new business development.
* Robust commercial acumen.
* Inclusive people leadership.
* Understanding of statutory frameworks and inspection regimes.
* Recognised delivery and change qualifications.

Location

Home‑based, with travel to client site and London office when required.
