The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager who combines operational discipline, strong stakeholder presence, and the ability to drive teams toward reliable, cost-efficient delivery. This crucial role demands a leader who can not only guide and mentor engineering teams but also serve as the primary technical interface for critical external partners, such as game publishers.
In this role, you will oversee our Game Server & Game Integrations engineering teams and you will be responsible for translating EFG’s strategic vision into disciplined engineering execution, ensuring that our technical commitments are met on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Additionally, you will drive cost optimisation across your domain, making you a key contributor to the financial health and scalability of our FACEIT platform.

* Cost Discipline & Operational Ownership: You possess demonstrated experience managing engineering teams with a rigorous focus on cost control, efficiency, and performance. You ensure engineers understand the financial implications of architectural choices and operational decisions. You are eager to get into the details, capable of analysing infrastructure cost drivers, identifying optimisations, and guiding the team to implement solutions;
* External Stakeholder Management: You are comfortable operating in environments that require external-facing communication such as publishers. You are able to clearly articulate technical trade-offs, roadmap decisions, and platform capabilities in a way that instills confidence, and you serve as a strong advocate for EFG, providing transparency, establishing trust, and managing expectations professionally;
* Strong Leadership & Execution Excellence: You are a proven leader who can inspire, direct, and hold teams accountable while maintaining a supportive and high-performance culture. You are skilled in delivery management: structured planning, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring engineering commitments are met. You work seamlessly with Product and Design to translate strategy into clear, executable technical plans;
* High Technical Acuity & Individual Drive: You are able to grasp complex technical concepts, system architectures, and emerging technologies quickly. You are highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of identifying risks, opportunities, and strategic improvements without prompting. You apply strong engineering judgement to guide teams in making sound, scalable decisions;

By leveraging a solid grounding in Agile methodologies, you ensure technical priorities are strictly aligned with business goals.
