Band 1 Production Operator – Manufacturing How Will You Make an Impact? You will perform essential production activities that ensure high-quality products are made safely, on time, and to specification. Your work helps our customers advance science and healthcare by delivering reliable materials and components used in critical applications. A Day in the Life Example 1: Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material preparation, equipment setup, basic operation, and line changeovers; record data accurately in batch records. Example 2: Perform in-process inspections, visual checks, and basic measurements; escalate deviations; keep work area clean following 5S and safety practices. Example 3: Package, label, and stage finished goods; complete inventory transactions; collaborate with teammates and leads to meet daily production targets. Education: (NA or APAC) High school diploma or equivalent required. Education: (EMEA) High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent. If a specific Degree, Apprenticeship, or Technical Certification is required for the site, replace this line with those details. Experience Required: No previous work experience required. Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting. Preferred: Experience in a cGMP or ISO-regulated environment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Example 1: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines; strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Example 2: Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools, scales, and production equipment; ability to learn new processes quickly. Example 3: Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual; able to communicate clearly with peers and leads; basic computer/data entry skills (e.g., ERP/scanning). Physical Requirements / Work Environment Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35–50 lbs (site-specific) for extended periods; repetitive movements may be required. Work in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing areas wearing appropriate PPE (gowning, gloves, safety glasses); exposure to disinfectants/cleaners. Shift work, overtime, and weekend/holiday coverage as needed to meet production schedules.
