Location: Cambridge, UK (hybrid working, minimum one day per week in Cambridge)

Full-time: 35 hours per week
Contract: Open-ended

Salary:£29,000 per annum depending on skills/experience, plus competitive 12% pension benefit
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing by 1 day p/a to 28 days

We are looking for an Events Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the Head of Stewardship & Development Communications and the wider Development Team.

In this role, you will be organising and supporting in-person, hybrid and online BirdLife-led fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, both in the UK and internationally.


How you will do this:

Delivering in-person and hybrid Development events:

* Developing project plans
* Organising speakers and materials
* Creating itineraries
* Booking venues
* Arranging catering
* Delivering briefings and post-event follow-up and analysis

Managing online events such as talks and Q&A

Supporting with BirdLife’s Development events strategy

Helping fundraisers deliver supporter-led events

Managing the events module in Raisers Edge including data input, maintenance and reporting


What we are looking for:

* Relevant professional experience in events
* Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic working environment
* Excellent MS office skills
* Experience in fundraising/working with major donors would be an advantage
* Knowledge of fundraising database systems would be an advantage as would an Institute of Fundraising (IoF) qualification
