Overview
The Regional Communications Manager is an important member of the broader OSG Communication team, tasked with building and growing the OSG brand internally and externally, with a specific focus on the UK region.
Responsibilities
* Uncover stories that need to be told: working across the UK business, dig deep to find stories that elevate the brand in the market. Share stories such as a team member’s career journey, student success, or behind‑the‑scenes aspects of company culture with both internal teams and the wider world.
* Develop a proactive communication strategy that addresses positive and potentially challenging developments in society, particularly those affecting planned school activities.
* Drive seamless processes and governance: identify and execute opportunities to improve processes and platforms, partner with the Global Communications team to develop guidelines, governance frameworks, templates and best practices to streamline communication and uphold brand standards.
* Elevate change communications: lead communication efforts during times of change, craft clear messages that explain reasons for change, benefits, and impact on audiences, and manage the narrative to support a smooth transition.
* Coordinate engaging events and promotions: plan and execute events that promote the brand and engage the audience, from employee webinars to recruitment outreach programs, ensuring events are well‑organised and impactful.
* Proactive outreach with campuses and broader society, including links and partnerships with universities for trainee teacher recruitment, and local businesses and charities to support opportunities for campus guest speakers.
* Collaborate with a dynamic Global Comms team to support the UK region’s comms and marketing initiatives under the guidance of the Regional Director of Operations.
Who will make a great fit?
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Tertiary qualification in Communications and/or 5+ years' experience in a broad communications role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
* Genuine passion for developing and executing communications strategies that motivate and inspire a target audience.
* Knowledge of the education industry or experience in an educational group.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong project management and organisational abilities.
* Familiarity with O365 including SharePoint and PowerPoint, and a solid understanding of communications best practices, processes, and systems.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to build trusted relationships with strategic stakeholders and navigate change with them.
* A keen eye for a good news story.
* A willingness to uphold the OneSchool Global ethos and values within all areas of responsibility.
