KS1 Teacher – Long-Term Cover – Leatherhead
Location: Leatherhead and nearby Surrey schools
Pay: £150 – £230 per day (PAYE – no umbrella deductions)
Contract: Long-Term Cover, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP / September 2025
A friendly primary school in Leatherhead is looking for a committed KS1 Teacher to take on a long-term cover role. It’s a brilliant opportunity for an experienced KS1 Teacher or an enthusiastic ECT ready to join a supportive team and make a real impact on pupils’ early learning.
The Role – KS1 Teacher
As a KS1 Teacher, you’ll:
1. Take full responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class
2. Deliver creative, engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
3. Support pupils of mixed abilities to achieve their best
4. Manage behaviour positively and in line with school policies
5. Work closely with SLT and your year group team
6. Get involved in planning, staff meetings, and wider school life
What We’re Looking For – KS1 Teacher
7. A qualified KS1 Teacher with UK QTS (or equivalent)
8. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (placements or beyond)
9. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
10. Someone who can adapt quickly, follow planning, and bring their own spark
11. Enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine love of teaching
