We are seeking an experienced SEN practitioner to join the leadership team of a thriving Academy in Littleport. This role is not purely administrative; it involves shaping high‑quality teaching and learning for children with complex needs.
The Role
This position balances strategic leadership with active classroom practice. You will lead a specific department or learning pathway while teaching and leading your own class.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Direction: Provide professional leadership for your department, aligning curriculum development with the academy's wider improvement plan.
* Staff Empowerment: Line‑manage and mentor staff, driving professional development (CPD) and fostering a culture of high expectations.
* Exemplary Teaching: Model outstanding SEN practice, ensuring the progress, safety, and wellbeing of all pupils.
* Collaborative Leadership: Contribute actively to the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing safeguarding, behaviour systems, and building vital partnerships with families.
