Overview
Join to apply for the Consultant in Anaesthetics role at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
The Anaesthetic Department at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital is looking to recruit dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to join our team of dedicated clinicians. Our hospital undertakes vascular, urological (including major cancer and robotic surgery) and elective orthopaedic surgery, with a range of day surgical specialties and emergency theatre cover provided daily. Regional anaesthesia plays a major part in our service and we support sustainable anaesthetic principles.
Kent & Canterbury Hospital provides critical care services in a six-bedded ITU and a four-bedded, mainly post-surgical, HDU supported by dedicated Intensive Care Clinicians and Anaesthetists. The Anaesthetic department and the Intensive Care Unit are active in education, audit and research projects if wished. There is an opportunity to work on other Trust sites, based on personal experience, preference and department needs.
Anaesthetic services are provided for elective and emergency surgery in the main operating theatre complex and additional theatres including day-surgery, endovascular, ophthalmic and orthopaedic units. They also support the MRI suite, endoscopy unit and intravenous line insertions.
