Night Shift Maintenance Engineer (Food/FMCG) £55,000+ This is a night shift maintenance engineer role on a large, fast-paced food manufacturing site in West London. It’s permanent, site-based, and ideal for someone who likes getting on with the job without any nonsense attached. The shift is an 8 hour rather than 12 hour shift. You’ll be working 5 nights out of 7 keeping production running, fixing problems properly, and improving reliability rather than just resetting alarms and moving on. The Role: You’ll be part of an established engineering team, responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment. This is a hands-on maintenance role where you’ll be expected to: Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance Respond to breakdowns and fault-find across electrical and mechanical systems Work on automation, instrumentation, pneumatics and basic PLC-controlled equipment Support changeovers, set-ups and adjustments alongside production Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Keep maintenance records accurate and audit-ready Work safely and in line with food safety and site procedures There’s plenty of variety here so no two nights look the same.
