A fantastic opportunity has become available within our client's Litigation team in Ipswich, Suffolk. The purpose of this role is to proactively manage accounts undergoing Litigation by communicating with customers primarily through incoming and outgoing calls to understand their circumstances.
While accounts will be in Litigation, treating customers fairly remains a priority. This involves working with customers to analyze documentation, including bank statements and income and expenditure forms, to identify potential solutions and respond appropriately.
This is an in-house position, and no training contracts are available.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of accounts through the litigation process.
2. Understand and explain the terms and conditions of loans to borrowers.
3. Maintain accurate and current information regarding borrowers and their loans in the in-house systems.
4. Inform customers of payments due and ensure collection complies with BACS rules and court orders.
5. Report issues proactively and professionally, making recommendations and providing balanced, technical opinions.
6. Manage arrears and associated risks by contacting customers in arrears, analyzing their information, and drafting referrals to team leaders or managers as needed.
Requirements:
Experience with producing court paperwork and working within a legal environment is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal role is required.
Having a degree in Law or a related subject is highly desirable.
