Job Description:
Artek is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support our finance department. The role involves handling day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in the preparation of reports and accounts. The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills and a good understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
* Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
* Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
* Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
* Assist with preparing financial statements and reports.
* Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding billing or payment queries.
* Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
Skills Required:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
* Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role preferred.
* Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
