At Eni, we are seeking a Crude Oil Operations Specialist to join Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London, UK. You will be part of the operations team, working within a dedicated desk and collaborating closely with traders, analysts, and other operators in the London-based crude team. This role requires flexibility to share expertise with team members and cover additional operational assignments as needed. You will work with various functions, including Oil and Freight Traders, Shipping Operations, Scheduling, Credit, Middle Office, Back Office, Insurance, Legal, Finance, and Contracts.
This position offers exposure to the full commodity trading lifecycle—both physical and financial—through collaboration with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Back Office, and multiple business units.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing daily trading operations activities to ensure performance and efficiency.
2. Handling voyage orders, invoices, vessel nominations, letters of credit, cargo insurance, and related tasks.
3. Supporting demurrage and cost management teams with ancillary charges and resolution.
4. Building relationships and communicating with operational counterparts and terminals.
5. Overseeing and optimizing physical operations of the North Sea trading portfolio.
6. Identifying root causes of operational issues and coordinating solutions to mitigate costs.
Language and skills requirements: Full command of English; knowledge of Italian is beneficial. Strong academic background with a numeracy focus. Understanding of oil trading operations is advantageous. Must be self-disciplined, resilient, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Familiarity with cargo documentation, shipping activities, and MS Office is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment is essential.
