Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Eastbourne Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) and The Haven, with the optional opportunity to undertake a 2 PA secondment as Digital Medical Lead within the Trust’s Digital Directorate.
About the role
This role provides senior medical leadership across two key crisis services. The CRHTT delivers a seven‑day‑a‑week intensive community service supporting people experiencing acute psychiatric crisis and gate‑keeping hospital admissions. The Haven is a nurse‑led rapid assessment and short‑term crisis support service providing timely intervention for individuals in acute mental distress.
In addition, the successful post holder may opt to undertake a 2 PA secondment as Digital Medical Lead, contributing clinical expertise to the implementation and optimisation of electronic patient record and prescribing systems. This creates a rare opportunity to shape both frontline crisis care and digital transformation within mental health services.

This post attracts a £45,000 Recruitment & Retention Package structured over three years:

About you
You will be a GMC‑registered Consultant Psychiatrist with Specialist Registration (or within six months) and Approved Clinician status or willingness to obtain. You will bring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability and an interest in service improvement or digital transformation alongside a collaborative, recovery‑focused approach to crisis mental health care.
Location: Eastbourne (with occasional travel to Worthing for Digital Directorate meetings)
Hours: Full time – 10 PAs
