We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children, and is keen to make a positive difference in the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering high‑quality learning experiences, help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, and provide individual or small‑group support to pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging learning activities.
Provide targeted support to pupils to help them access learning.
Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, caring classroom environment.
Support with the preparation of resources and classroom organisation.
Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and transitions.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and activities.
Work collaboratively with the teaching and support staff team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a genuine passion for working with children
Is patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is reliable, proactive, and willing to learn
(Desirable) Has experience working in a school or with children
(Desirable) Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or equivalent)
