Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Children’s Manager to support the effective running of a children’s residential service in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care, support, and safeguarding.
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the children’s homeLead, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver high-quality care in line with regulatory standardsEnsure all safeguarding procedures are followed, promoting the welfare and protection of children at all timesAssist in care planning, risk assessments, and placement planning for young peopleMonitor and maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standardsDeputise for the Registered Manager in their absenceSupport staff development through training, supervision, and performance managementBuild positive relationships with children, families, and external professionalsManage incidents effectively and ensure appropriate reporting and follow-upContribute to the continuous improvement of the serviceRequirements:
Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards)Proven experience working with children and young people in a residential settingStrong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted requirementsLeadership or supervisory experience within a care environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call dutiesFull UK driving licenseWhat We Offer:
