Role Overview
We are seeking Project Managers to lead and deliver innovative projects aimed at reducing flooding risks and enhancing the environment across the South-East. This role is within the Programme and Contract Management (PCM) team and involves managing projects as the Client project manager or collaborating with senior colleagues. Responsibilities include overseeing the project from strategic planning through feasibility, design, implementation, and handover, supporting team members, and building effective relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage project delivery processes from initial planning to completion.
2. Support and mentor project team members.
3. Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders including authorities, landowners, and communities.
4. Apply commercial, contractual, and risk management principles.
5. Respond to incidents and support business continuity as needed.

Experience and Skills
Essential:
* Degree in engineering, environmental science, geography, or related field.
* Experience in project and contract management, preferably in engineering, environmental, or flood risk sectors.
* Experience managing NEC4 contracts.
* Proven track record of delivering technically challenging projects.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Ability to mentor teams.
Desirable:
* Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM).
* Chartered membership or working towards it (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, APMP).
* Expertise in hydrology, river modelling, asset management, etc.
Additional Information
