About the apprenticeship

Duties

To help with quarterly monitoring, analysis and reporting of the Council’s performance data and offer technical assistance to staff in other Council departments using performance
information systems.
To support, maintain and update Geographical Information Systems.
Assist in researching and analysing local and national data from various sources to guide the Council’s service and corporate planning.
To support, present and explain performance data and information using data visualisation and business intelligence software.
Perform other related tasks as needed to support the goals of the Data Insight and Performance Team.
Attending and completing any relevant Continuing Professional Development opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE Maths, English and/or Welsh at a Grade C or above

To complete a QCF Level 3 apprenticeship in relevant qualifications

Understanding of data visualisation tools and techniques e.g. Excel, Power BI etc. Experience of using Microsoft Packages.

The ability to respond positively to changing circumstances. Ability to work independently and flexibly as part of a team. Excellent time management skill

Knowledge of Local Government. Understanding of information systems and mapping software.
